Capturing the excitement and anticipation of expecting parents is always an honor, and when I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful couple, I knew it would be a shoot to remember. From intimate indoor moments to stunning outdoor shots in the golden light of Lac du Bois, this maternity session was filled with love, warmth, and unforgettable memories.

We started the shoot with an indoor session, and this time, I wanted to play with a more artistic, dramatic style. The trend of dark backdrops paired with rich, colorful lighting has been gaining popularity, and it was the perfect mood to evoke the beauty and intimacy of this moment in time.

The black background created a sense of mystery and focus, while the green lighting added a modern and ethereal vibe to the scene. The subtle tones of green were not only a nod to this couples wedding, but also symbolized life, growth, and the new chapter these two parents were about to embark on. After the indoor portion, we made our way to the breathtaking Lac du Bois, just outside of Kamloops. This location holds a special place in my heart for its beauty and peaceful atmosphere. As the sun began to set, casting its warm golden light over the hills, it felt like everything was aligning perfectly for the perfect outdoor maternity shoot.
